New Manager

We would like to welcome our new manager Pamela MacFarlane to Skye View Care Centre. She has a wealth of experience in Dementia care and is looking forward to working closely with the residents and their family.

Skye View Summer Fete

We would like to thank everyone who made Skye View's Summer Fete such a success. We managed to raise £937.00 for the residents fund.

We will be consulting everyone very shortly on how best to utilise the money for the benefit of all residents.

We have added a new relatives section which will provide meeting dates, agendas, minutes and other relevant information. This section is currently being updated with new information, so check back regularly. Contact the home manager if you would like details of any meetings posted out.

2011 - 2012 Fee Rates

The gross room rate for 2011 - 2012 will remain the same as the previous year (£550.81 for Nursing, £474.16 for Residential) but the minimum personal contribution has risen to £114.75 per week (£73.15 for YPD).

The Free Personal Care amounts are: £159.00 for Residential and £231.00 for Nursing Care.

SCSWIS Replaces Care Commission

A new regulator for Scotland: Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland. SCSWIS will inspect, regulate and support improvement of care and social work and child protection services across Scotland. The Care Commission and the Social Work Inspection Agency (SWIA) will no longer exist and responsibility for the work they did will pass to SCSWIS.
