

Located in Airdrie, Lanarkshire, Arran House is situated on a quiet lane within its own private gardens close to Airdrie town centre.
It is close to many bus routes, as well as only being a short distance from both Airdrie train station and motorways.
Formally called Assumption House, Arran House began its life in 1957 when the Sisters of Charity began caring for the elderly there. It had a modernist extension added in the 60s by renowned Scottish architect Jack Coia.
It was privately purchased in 1986 and has be extended and refurbished while trying to keep the character of the original building intact.
There are many facilities at Arran House which can be utilised by residents and their families. Residents have the choice of 2 different lounges, 2 dinning areas and a dedicated pampering suites. Residents can also use private treatments rooms for their health care needs.
Our chef at Arran House is a Nutritional Champion. This has been awarded to her by the Care Commission and is one of only a handful of such chefs in the country.
Arran House has a range of single rooms with the option of en-suite facilities. We are also able to offer companion rooms for those who wish to share.
Residents are free to personalise their room, and are welcomed to bring in any items of furniture which they would like (restrictions apply).
We will endeavour to provide 24 hour holistic care to Frail Elderly, Dementia and Young Chronic Sick residents in a supportive and comfortable environment. It is our objective to promote independence and help resident reach their maximum potential. We will ensure that their wellbeing, privacy and dignity are maintained at all times. We actively promote resident and relative participation in all aspects of our service.
Each resident at Arran House is viewed and treated as an individual. We involve our residents in making decisions that affect them.
An individual care plan is created after consultation with you, your family and friends and will cover social, medial requirements. It will be regularly reviewed and updated with your likes and dislikes.
Activities play an important role in day-to-day life within the home. There are individual personalised activities as well as group activities.
Before admission to Arran House an assessment would be undertaken by both the Social Work Department and one of our care staff. This would ensure the suitability of the placement.
Trial visits or periods of respite can be arrange to see if you like the home.
Fees depend on the level of care required and your local council.
